The Security Service has documented new facts of the illegal activity of the agent network, which carried out information sabotage orchestrated by the FSB of the Russian Federation.

The agent network operated within the Orthodox Church of the Moscow patriarchate.

The embers of the organization massively developed and distributed pro-Kremlin narratives and media provocations. It was supposed to destabilize the socio-political situation and incite religious hatred in Ukraine.

The SBU exposed the network in March 2024. Four key members have already been detained and are now in the pre-trial detention center.

The SBU continues investigation into the case regarding incitement of religious enmity and hatred by an organized group. The detainees may face life imprisonment.
