Ukraine’s grid operator, Ukrenerngo, said it will have to bring back power outages on Tuesday as a the country is dealing with another heat wave. In a statement on social media, the company warned that one grid line will go dark from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and again from 10:00 pm to midnight, while some areas will be without electricity between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm when two grid lines will be disconnected simultaneously.
These temporary outages are part of “Ukrenergo’s” ongoing efforts to balance the power supply as sweltering weather and growing demand for energy continues to put pressure on the grid.
