The head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi said that the situation with the electricity supply in Kharkiv could improve in about a week.

‘The most difficult situation is in Kharkiv. We have three options on how to ensure an increased supply of electricity to the city’s consumers, we follow these three paths in parallel,’ he stated.

He also told about the terms of improving the situation in the city.

‘I don’t want to make predictions, because the situation is really difficult, and I don’t want to make promises that we can’t fulfill. But I think that at the end of next week or days 8-9, it will be possible to significantly improve the situation with the city’s energy supply,’ Kudrytskyi said.

He stressed that the repair teams are doing their best to restore the electricity supply in the city.

‘We know exactly what to do. It is necessary to understand that the restoration of the electricity supply in any region is a matter of time. Somewhere it can be done within a few hours, somewhere it can be one or two days. Somewhere like Kharkiv, unfortunately, takes more time,’ the CEO explained.

Kharkiv energy infrastructure suffered severe damage during Russian attacks on March 22.
