Six servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who shot a family with two children on the Zhytomyr highway, will stand a court trial.

The prosecutors of Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office sent an indictment to the court against six Russian military for violating laws and customs of war.

The investigation established that during the occupation of the villages of Severynivka, Motyzhyn and Kopyliv near Bucha, the accused conducted special raids, intimidating and terrorizing the civilian population.

At the beginning of March 2022, following the commander’s order, Russians opened fire on two civilian cars on the Zhytomyr highway.

A man with a 15-year-old daughter were in one car and his wife with an 8-year-old younger daughter were in the other car. Parents were killed at once and the elder daughter died later from wounds.
