Ukaine’s State Bureau of Investigation said on Monday its prosecutors are going to file the treason charges against two Ukrainian lawmakers and a former state prosecutor. Sources within law enforcement the case will target current MP Oleksandr Dubinsky, former MP Andriy Derkach, and ex-prosecutor Kostiantyn Kulyk.
In December 2023, the DBR investigation exposed a network of agents of influence led by Russian intelligence services who were part of smear campaigns againt Ukraine trying to “strain relations with the U.S., and complicate Ukraine’s entry into the EU and NATO”.
One of the MP, it is allegedly Dubinsky, who is now in custody, “engaged in information warfare on behalf of Russia”. Andriy Derkach faces the similar charges.
The investigation found their influence campaigns was masterminded by Vladimir Alexeyev, deputy head of the GRU, and his aide Alexey Savin. The GRU-led network had a “clear hierarchy and division of roles”, with Russian intelligence services providing funding the entire project. At least $10 million were funneled into Ukraine through the aide of Andriy Derkach who much like his boss traveled to Russia several times to meet with their handlers.
The investigation revealed Derkach and Dubinskyi got support from then prosecutor Kulyk who provided “legal justification for their fabrications”.
It is worth noting that Andriy Derkach who fled to Russia right after the Feb24 invasion was made a senator in Russia’s Federation Council, becoming a representative of Astrakhan.
Investigation also has gathered evidence against Dubinsky. He traveled to Moscow and Saint Petersburg on multiple occasions, including in October 2019 when he allegedly met with his Russian handlers. Psychological and linguistic analysis of his public speeches revealed statements “undermining Ukraine’s defense and national security”.
The DBR prosecutor are also investigating the details of Dubinskyi’s purchase of two apartments in Barcelona. Costing €288,000 and €100,000 respectively, they were bought into the name of his mother and a civil partner while the funds came from Russian nationals, one of whom is allegedly connected to Russian intelligence and even worked in Putin’s administration.
Dubinsky, Derkach, and Kulyk now face charges of treason and participation in a criminal organization under Articles 111(1) and 255(1) of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.
A kamikaze drone flies directly toward an armored personnel carrier. But instead of penetrating the hull, it explodes on a steel screen. The crew survives. This is the new reality for Ukrainian forces, who have received enhanced protection thanks to the Metinvest project within “Steel Front of Rinat Akhmetov”.
To commemorate the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, “Bukvy” has compiled data on the largest donors supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among them there are charitable foundations and businesses. The list includes, in particular, foundations that provide assistance exclusively from their own resources, without fundraising (such as SCM by Rinat Akhmetov, Epicenter, etc.).
In just 1.5 months, Ukrainian specialists have created an innovative protective shell for the control modules of anti-aircraft missile systems (AMS) Patriot and Iris-T SLM. This development was another step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, aimed at protecting key elements of the air defense system from debris damage.

Notorious supporter of the concept “in order for a cow to eat less and give more milk, it needs to be fed less and milked more” “Servant of the People” Danylo Hetmantsev, under the guise of “business requirements”, registered a draft law on the collection of VAT on all foreign purchases, regardless of their value. In other words, every Ukrainian, buying goods of any value and purpose abroad, when sending them to Ukraine, will have to pay an additional fifth part, or 20% of the cost of the goods.
