Two spies arrested in Dnipropetrovsk for sabotage of Ukrainian troops’ logistics

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has arrested two individuals in the Dnipropetrovsk region who tried to “disrupt the logistics of Ukraine’s Defense Forces under Russian instructions”.
The spies gathered coordinates to facilitate Russian missile and drone strikes on key Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) infrastructure, including junction stations and railway lines.
To aid targeting, the men installed secret cameras in trees near railway facilities that allowed real-time monitoring of trains carrying military equipment.
Though the two saboteurs independently, both followed detailed instructions from the same Russian handler. The SBU’s timely intervention exposed and documented their actions, leading to their arrest.
The suspects turned out to be local residents, aged 20 and 23. They were recruited by Russian intelligence operatives while looking for odds jobs posting on Telegram channels.
During searches, authorities seized mobile phones and video cameras containing evidence of their activities
Both of the men remain in custody, facing up to eight years in prison if convicted of espionage.
