The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the French InfraNum federation signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of telecom.

This will make it possible to develop joint solutions for the restoration and development of electronic communications in Ukraine,in particular, in the frontline areas that suffered from Russian aggression.

To implement the projects within the framework of the memorandum, the InfraNum federation received a grant of 756,000 euros from the French National Fund.

These funds will be directed to joint studies of the needs of the sector, as well as the restoration and spread of broadband Internet access in the territory of Ukraine.

In addition, within the framework of the memorandum, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and InfraNum will work on launching a pilot project to establish or restore access to high-speed Internet. The parties will also be able to exchange information and best practices on issues of digital development, in particular on the deployment of broadband access networks.

‘By signing this memorandum, we are proceeding to practical assistance to Ukraine in the protection and development of the critical infrastructure of electronic communications. During the year, we communicated with the representatives of the Ukrainian government to determine the needs, risks and scale of cooperation. Today we are here to launch this process and demonstrate our solidarity in the development of a sustainable future for Ukraine,’ the InfraNum president said.

Notorious supporter of the concept “in order for a cow to eat less and give more milk, it needs to be fed less and milked more” “Servant of the People” Danylo Hetmantsev, under the guise of “business requirements”, registered a draft law on the collection of VAT on all foreign purchases, regardless of their value. In other words, every Ukrainian, buying goods of any value and purpose abroad, when sending them to Ukraine, will have to pay an additional fifth part, or 20% of the cost of the goods.
