Ukraine cancels emergency power outages following Russian missile attack

Ukrainians can breathe a sigh of relief this morning as emergency power outages have been called off across the country after Russian troops launched their 11th large-scale missile ttack on Ukraine’s power grid this year.
According to Ukrenergo, the national energy operator, “You can check for updates on power restrictions in your region on the official websites of your local electricity distribution company (Oblenergo).”
The morning attack has left hundreds of thousands without power, especially affecting western regions of Ukraine. Emergency shutdowns are still in place throughout the country. Initially, it was expected that the outages would continue until 8 pm, but the latest update brings some hope of a swift recovery.
