Ukraine currently has 11.1 million men aged 25 to 60 who “can potentially be mobilized,” but 565,000 of them have already been granted professional deferrals, said ‘Servant of the People’ MP Dmytro Natalukha in his comments for the state TV.

The General Staff and the Ministry of Defense “know more” about the number of conscripts, which is “fluid” as the conscription campaign is still underway.

Natalukha suggested that about 1.5 million Ukrainian men may have medical exemptions, although the country lacks “regular statistics” on this matter. The lawmaker’s “rough estimate” is that Ukraine can currently count on 10 million conscripts. Most of these are already active servicemen, although “there are those who are abroad.”

The number of Ukrainian men with professional deferrals is also “dynamic” and could make up to 5-6% of all conscripts.

Recent tax data shows that Ukraine has 2.62 million men who are officially employed and can be liable for conscription.
