Ukraine has adopted a decision to launch an additional place of detention for Russian prisoners of war.
As stated by Andrii Yusov, Russia is suffering heavy losses in the Kharkiv direction. The Main Directorate of Intelligence appeals to the Russian troops who are currently there to surrender.
He noted that Ukraine guarantees compliance with the Geneva Convention, international humanitarian law, guarantees the life and safety of those Russian servicemen who do not want to become cannon fodder or war criminals.
Yusov added that taking into account the Russian losses in this direction, surrendering or switching to the side of Ukraine is a reasonable alternative.
‘Taking into account the scale of the situation in which the Russian troops are, their losses, including future ones, it was decided to open an additional place of detention, an additional camp for Russian prisoners of war,’ the representative said.
