Ukraine’s government has decided to restrict public access to information on electricity trading in the “day-ahead” and intraday markets. The move may impact businesses but not consumers .
The state-owned Market Operator JSC said on December 30 that it has ceased publishing trading data on its website and Telegram channel. The operator explained the step was necessaryfor ‘protection of Ukraine’s energy system from potential threats posed by the enemy”.
Similarly, the Ukrainian Energy Exchange confirmed the decision, citing an order from the Minister of Energy dated December 27, 2024. Under this directive, auction bulletins and average price reports will not be made public during martial law and for one month after it ends.
Registered traders with technical access to the trading system can still view auction details directly on the trading platform.
