Can foreign troops be deployed to Ukraine to help end the war? “Ukraine is ready to speak about whatever works,” said the vice prime minister Olha Stefanishyna in a recent interview with Politico, as Kyiv looks for ways to secure security guarantees for the war-torn country.
She didn’t mince words when talking about Germany’s stance on Ukraine’s NATO membership bid, calling it “unjustified.”
“I don’t think there is any valid explanation for their position. It’s very challenging to work with a country that has no substantial reasoning for such negativity,” she added.
Stefanishyna also addresed the dialogue with the United States about Ukraine’s NATO ambitions. She expressed hope for more “constructive” negotiations with the next U.S. administration.

This development was another step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, aimed at protecting key elements of the air defense system from debris damage.
