The Ukrainian government said on Tuesday it will slash the down payment requirement on the first-time home for young families as part of the “єОселя” updated mortgage program, according to the country’s PM Denys Shmyhal. For those in under 25 age group the first down payment will be 10%, down from 20%.
This new initiative will help more young people secure a place of their own. The “єОселя” program has already been a huge success, with over 12,000 Ukrainian families—like those of servicemen, law enforcement officers, teachers, doctors, and scientists—finding their first-time homes through it.
