Pursuant to the instructions of president Zelensky, the Ukrainian side began detailed negotiations with Denmark regarding the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement.

The Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations was headed by the deputy head of the President’s office Ihor Zhovkva, and the Danish delegation by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lisbeth Zilmer-Johns.

The negotiations began as part of the implementation of the G7 Joint Declaration on Support for Ukraine.

Denmark’s commitments in the field of security confirm the steadfast and powerful support, including the military assistance, which it has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

The parties discussed the main elements of future bilateral security obligations and agreed on a schedule for further negotiations.
