Ukraine to receive $4.8 billion from World Bank for humanitarian programs

Ukraine’s government has approved a policy that will bring in $4.8 billion in funding from the World Bank as part of the “Support for Government Spending to Ensure Sustainable Governance in Ukraine” (PEACE in Ukraine) project.

Revealing the news on Friday, Ukraine’s prime minister Denys Shmyhal said that the funds will go toward “vital social and humanitarian programs” across the country.

It is worth noting that Ukraine has received over $100 billion in external financial assistance since Feb.24,2022.
