In a bid to fine-tune the policy of professional exemptions used for companies listed as critical, Ukraine’s government has issued a directive that clarifies the criteria on what companies can be eligible for such ‘critically important business’ status during the war.

Under the updated policy, agencies that have this authority to grant “critically important” status now have the right to conduct inspections to make sure businesses meet the necessary criteria.

If a company is found not to comply with the established standards, its status as a critical enterprise can be revoked.

The results of such inspections must be reported to the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Digital Transformation, within one day after a decision is made.
