Ukrzaliznytsia company, infrastructure and defense ministries demonstrated for the first time a medical evacuation train.

At the beginning of March 2022, the first medical railway car, which has no analogues in the world, started operation in Ukraine.

The equipment of such cars is identical to the equipment of a real hospital.

Now, 62 such cars are involved in medical evacuation, and by the end of the year there will be eight more.

From March 2022, the equipment of medical cars became more complex. There are also intensive care cars with oxygen stations, ventilators, blood transfusions, cardiac monitors, aspirators and other equipment. In addition, the cars are autonomous because they are powered by backup generators.

The equipment of medical cars makes it possible to provide emergency medical aid right on the move, so they can transport severely injured servicemen.
