Ukrainian “Servant of the People” MP Oleksandr Kunitsky went to Europe for meetings and allegedly failed to return, according to sources from Bihus.info. The Verkhovna Rada records show he was a no-show at all parliamentary votes throughout October.
Kunitsky is no stranger to controversy. In October 2023 he was caught helping a now fugitive MP Artem Dmytruk to assault in the Kyiv center central Kyiv in October 2023. A follow-up video featured the victim of the assault accusing both MPs of extortion and fraud, arguing they started a brawl.
“I was standing on the street, and they started filming, shoving, and provoking me. They said awful things about my job. I took the phone from one of them but immediately gave it back. Then they both started hitting me—one pushed me down, and Dmytruk began beating me, calling me a scammer,” the victim stated on video.
The story drew a massive public outrcry making Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin open a criminal investigation into both Kunitsky and Dmytruk for their involvement in the brawl.
