Ukrainian Navy сonfirms destruction of train ferry in Russian port ‘Kavkaz’

The Ukrainian Navy has officially confirmed that its missile struck “Conro Trader” train ferry carrying fuel in “Kavkaz” port in Russia’s Krasnodar region.

“We can confirm that this target was destroyed by the Naval Forces. This ferry was a crucial link in Russia’s military logistics chain, primarily used to supply the occupational forces with fuel and lubricants, but it also transported weapons. Therefore, it was a completely legitimate target,” said Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk.

Intelligence showed that the “Conro Trader” sinking left operations at the Russian port “partially blocked”.  It practically halted ferry services in the region as two other train ferries are currently out of service: one of them is under repair, while another one is awaiting repairs in the Sea of Azov following the previous Ukrainian air strike.

Pletenchuk though did not reveal what type of weapon was used to strike the “Conro Trader.”
