Ukrainian prosecutors have the strong evidence that the Russian general Oleh Makovetsky is responsible for ‘numerous’ air assaults in Kharkiv region, including the devestating missile strike that hit a ‘Epicentr’ home improvement store.

As the Air Force’s 6th Army commander,  Makovetsky ordered his army pilots in the early days of the invasion to bomb Kharkiv.  What makes the situation even more shocking , the Russian general is a native of the Kharkiv region. Oleksandr Filchakov  of Kharkiv Prosecutor’s office said the prosecutors are going to file new charges against Makovetsky for “ordering the destruction of the Oskil Dam” that constitues an ecocide crime under Art. 441 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.

Makovetsky is also one of three Air Force 6th Army commanders who are facing charges over the air attacks in May and June of this year including the “Epicentr house” improvement store strike that took lives of at least 19 people.
