Ukrainian top official reveals which country facilitates new POWs swaps with Russia

The United Arab Emirates was a key mediator in recent prisoners’ swaps between Ukraine and Russia, according to Ukraine’s human rights ombudsmap Dmytro Lubinets.
Speaking during a televised marathon on July 30, the Ukrainian official praised the efforts of the UAE: “We are extremely grateful to the UAE for their assistance in this matter.”
The ombudsman revealed that Ukraine is currently in talks with the UAE to arrange for a humanitarian convoy to provide all Ukrainian prisoner of wars held in Russia with a stock of eessential items, including personal hygiene products and medical supplies.
While the UAE is playing a key role in these negotiations, Lubinets noted that other countries are also lending their support to Ukraine’s efforts to secure the release of its detained citizens.
