Ukrainian troops hit Russia’s ammunition depot in Bryansk

In its dry statement on Tuesday, Ukraine’s General Staff wrote:

“In the early hours of November 19, Ukrainian Armed Forces, in coordination with other Defense Forces units, successfully struck the arsenal of the 1046th Material Support Center near Karachev, Bryansk region, Russia.”

According to intelligence reports,  it was followed by 12 explosions asdetonation is ongoing at the targeted site.

“The destruction of ammunition depots for the Russian occupying forces to halt Russia’s aggression against Ukraine will continue. Stay tuned,” said the General Staff.

Russian media outlets wrote that an air raid alert went off in Bryansk over a missile threat.  Regional officials, though, insisted it was a drone attack, claiming their air defenses downed eight drones.

Meanwhile, local residents posted videos on social media showing flashes of light and the sounds of blasts, with a voiceover arguing it was an attack on a “military base.”

As of the morning Tuesday, locals reported they heard more explosions in the area.
