Ukrainians will receive 900 hryvnias to buy books

President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed the law on granting Ukrainians who turned 18 after January 1, 2024, 908 hryvnias for the purchase of books.

The law clarifies the activities of the Ukrainian Book Institute in supporting distributors of publishing products and provides government aid for the purchase of books.

According to the law, everyone who turns 18 after 2024 will receive 908 hryvnias for the purchase of books. Funds will be issued in the form of a certificate in the ‘Diia’ app.

The certificate can be exchanged for electronic, paper, and audio books. Parents or legal representatives will receive the same certificate upon the birth of a child. It can be used only within a year after the child’s birth.
