Ukrenergo urges to construct small generation facilities

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chairman of the Ukrenergo, said that Ukraine must immediately start the construction of distributed generation facilities.
The construction of small power plants will make the Ukrainian energy system more resistant to Russian attacks.
The official stated that the Russian strikes on energy facilities would probably continue and Ukraine must construct new generation facilities before winter comes.
The construction of a big number of small power plants will make it more difficult for the Russians to disable the Ukrainian energy system.
Kudrytskyi reminded that during the latest Russian strikes Ukraine lost 9 gigawatts of generating capacity.
