The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development reported on the option of reservation of employees, which provides that for one employee, the company must pay a monthly military levy of 20,000 hryvnias.

According to the head of the committee, Dmytro Natalukha, Ukrainian businesses must have the possibility to reserve their employees from mobilization in order to continue working.

The committee worked out options that allow the employers to independently identify strategically important workers and to pay 20,000 UAH of military levy per month.

The committee believes that not only certain industries determined by officials should be considered strategic, but also specific employees who will be chosen by the employers.

‘Economic reservation is a new mechanism of effective interaction between business and the state,’ the official said.
