On Friday, the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine’s “victory plan” he will present during his visit to the United States hinges on “quick decisions” from Ukraine’s allies. The plan will be effective if support is provided within the next two months.

Speaking at a briefing alongside European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of timely international action: “I’ll discuss the full details of the victory plan with the U.S. President, as most of the decisions depend on him, but also on other allies. The entire plan is based on rapid decisions from our partners, specifically between October and December. We really hope there won’t be any delays. If that’s the case, we believe the plan will work,” he said.

The focus remains on securing prompt and substantial support to “accelerat Ukraine’s path to victory”.
