Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Donald Trump on his ‘impressive” return to the Oval Office, adding he hopes
The Ukrainian leader praised Trump’s resolution to restore peace in Europe.
“I value President Trump’s commitment to the ‘peace through strength’ approach in global affairs. This principle holds real potential for bringing a just peace to Ukraine, and I look forward to implementing it together,” Zelensky said.
He also said Ukraine hopes that Trump’s “decisive leadership” will usher in “the era of the mighty United States”.
The Ukrainian leader added he expects to strengthen the “beneficial political and economic cooperation with the U.S” while Kyiv will remain committed to the course that must bring back lasting peace and security in Europe.
“I eagerly await the opportunity to personally congratulate President Trump and discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States,” wrote Zelensky in his post on X.
