Zelensky submits a draft law on multiple citizenship

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the introduction of multiple citizenship. The president announced this during his speech on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the Unity Day.

This draft law will make it possible to adopt changes to the legislation and introduce the institution of multiple citizenship.

Zelensky added that this will provide citizenship to all ethnic Ukrainians and their descendants from different countries of the world.Zelensky thanked all those who, having left their native land, continue to support Ukraine from other countries of the world.

The president also noted the importance of this decision for foreign volunteers who stood up to defend Ukraine, stressing that Ukraine will become their second home.
