Zelensky submits to parliament draft laws to prolong martial law and mobilization

President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws on the approval of his decrees on the extension of martial law and mobilization for another 90 days.

Thus, the head of state offers the parliament to approve his decrees regarding the extension of the martial law in Ukraine and general mobilization from February 14 to May 13, 2024.

On February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, martial law was introduced in the country and general mobilization was announced.

Subsequently, the period of martial law and mobilization was extended by the parliament until April 25, August 23, November 21, 2022, February 19, May 20, August 18, November 15, 2023, February 14, 2024.
