About a thousand kilometers of fortifications built around Kyiv, – General Pavliuk

On March 31, the Commander of the Ukraine’s Ground Forces Oleksandr Pavliuk said that around a thousand kilometers of defense structures and three rings of defense have been built around the capital. The troops also strengthened the Chernobyl direction.

‘We have done a huge amount of work… About 1,000 kilometers of fortifications, three defense rings of Kyiv,’ he stated.

According to the Commander, the military is currently building long-term concrete fortifications.

He added that the fortifications are aimed at preventing a sudden Russian attack on the capital.
