Kherson authorities reported that they are going to build underground hospitals in the city.

‘Currently, project and estimate documentation has already been prepared, we have a positive expert report, the work is currently underway,’ said region governor Oleksandr Prokudin.

He noted that the underground facilities will house a blood donation center, surgeries, intensive care units, boxes for patients with infectious diseases, and maternity wards.

The need for the underground facilities is urgent due to the constant Russian strikes targeting the city.

The governor also said that in the future they plan to expand this project to educational institutions and create underground schools.

Earlier, it was reported that the first underground school was built in Kharkiv, which also experiences constant Russian attacks.
