Ukrenergo energy company informed that as of April 18, there is a capacity deficit in the Ukrainian energy system.

The company introduces electricity consumption restrictions for businesses and industrial enterprises from 6 pm to 10 pm Thursday.

Ukrenergo stresses that the restrictions will not be introduced for the critical infrastructure and defense industry.

The company also informed about emergency assistance to the Ukrainian grid from Europe and called on the population to consume electricity sparingly.

The measures are caused by the continuous Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy facilities.

Ukrenergo also reported electricity disruptions due to the Russian strikes in Dnipro, Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
