Russia is trying to break through the defenses in Kharkiv region, – General Syrskyi

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi named the hottest spots at the front in Kharkiv region, where the enemy continues its assaults and transfers reserves.

According to General Syrskyi, the Russians have suffered serious losses during the fighting in Kharkiv region, especially during the street battles in Vovchansk.

Now the Russian army is transferring reserves from different directions, trying to support active assault actions.

Near the village of the Lyptsi, the invaders suffered losses and switched to active defense. Active fighting continues in the forest area north of the city of Kupiansk, as well as in the Kyslivka area, where the enemy is trying to break through the defenses and reach the Oskil River.

Intense fighting also continues in the Ivanivske region and on the approaches to Chasiv Yar. There, the enemy is trying to storm the city at any cost, using heavy weapons. The fiercest battles are taking place in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions.

The Russians are trying to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops between the settlements of Staromykhailivka and Berdychi. In other directions, the situation also remains tense, but the intensity of hostilities there is smaller, General Syrskyi concluded.
