Capacity deficit in the grid increases, – Ukrenergo

Ukrenergo informed about the situation in the Ukrainian energy system as of Tuesday morning.

According to the company, the capacity deficit in the grid increased compared to yesterday.

The reasons for this are the increased consumption due to the hot weather and use of air conditioning, cloudy weather, which prevents operation of solar plants, and the decrease in the volume of electricity imports.

The consumption limits are in effect in all regions of Ukraine during the whole day. In case of exceeding the limits, the authorities will introduce scheduled outages.

There are electricity disruptions due to the Russian strikes in the frontline regions and due to the bad weather in Lviv and Sumy regions.
