Canada allocates USD 11 million to finance the completion of the Holodomor museum

The Canadian government will participate in the implementation of the construction project of the second phase of the Holodomor genocide museum in Kyiv.

This was said during the meeting of the acting Ukraine’s Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandieiev with the representatives of the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine.

The country allocates 15 million Canadian dollars, which is almost 11 million US dollars.

On September 24, 2023, president Volodymyr Zelensky, following the results of his visit to the USA and Canada, announced that he has a number of positive solutions for Ukraine. In particular, he noted Ottawa’s willingness to finance the completion of the Holodomor genocide museum.

Then Zelensky expressed gratitude for the Canadian government’s willingness to allocate funding for the completion of the Holodomor museum.
