Ukraine cancels scheduled power outages for July 30 – Ukrenergo

“Ukrenergo” energy company said there will be no power outages in Ukraine on Tuesday. Energy consumers can breathe easy after the the two nuclear reactors came back online after maintenance and the cool weather saw a decrease in energy consumption.
The company though admitted the changes are possible. On July 29, the company is implementing power outages from 20pm till 22 pm.
Earlier this month, Ukrenergo CEO Vladimir Kudrytskyi said the energy supply situation was improving after the country went through the “most challenging perion of the summer”. Crippled by Russian air strikes, the energy grid system is still dealing with power shortages, which can make Ukraine increase energy imports from the EU, said Mykola Kolisnyk, Ukraine’s energy deputy minister.
