On the night of August 14, Ukrainian Air Force and Special Operations units, in coordination with the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, launched attacks on four Russian airfields in the Voronezh, Kursk, and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

The General Staff confirmed that the strikes had targeted  “Khalino,” “Savastleika,” “Borisoglebsk,” and “Baltimore” airfields.  They host military aviation like Su-34 fighter-bombers and Su-35 fighters that are used in airstrikes in Ukraine.

The attacks primarily targeted “fuel depots and aviation munitions stockpiles” though it will take time to assess the damage resulting from them, added Ukraine’s General Staff in its update.
