Casualties reported after Russia strikes Kupiansk with 500-kg bomb

The number of injured people has risen in Kupiansk after a Russian airstrike hit the town in the Kharkiv region on August 28.
In a statement, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said, “In Kharkiv, 21 people, including ten police officers, were injured as a result of yesterday’s airstrike on the town of Kupiansk.”

The strike was carried out using a FAB-500 guided bomb equipped with a Unified Modular Planning Kit (UMPK), targeting the city centre. The explosion caused significant damage to 43 buildings, both multi-storey and private residences, as well as several vehicles, including police cars.
Five armored vehicles “Kozak” have received a new mission – thanks to the support of Metinvest, they have been upgraded to full-fledged command and staff vehicles. These upgraded vehicles are now operating on the front line.
