Ukrainian government reshuffle expected after several top ministers resign

Parliamentary leader of the Servant of the People ruling party David Arakhamia revealed on Tuesday the Ukrainian goverenment is for a massive a massive rejig this week as “over 50%” of the govermenental positions expecting to see changes.

“As promised, the major government overhaul is imminent this week. More than 50% of the Cabinet’s staff will be replaced. Tomorrow will be a day of dismissals, followed by a day of appointments. The final list will be decided at the faction meeting on September 4. Please follow only official news for updates,” Arakhamia wrote on Telegram.

Earlier today, several government officials submitted their resignation letters to the Verkhovna Rada. Among those are three ministers: strategic industries minister Oleksandr Kamyshin, justice minister Denys Maliuska, and enviromental minister Ruslan Strilets.  Another top official setting to step down is Vitalii Koval who led the State Property Fund.

Parliamentary speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk confirmed that these resignations will be reviewed during the upcoming plenary session.
