Battles intensify at Kurakhove and Pokrovsk – frontline update

Over the last 14 hours, Ukrainian troops have faced 107 combat engagements, with the heaviest fighting currently taking place in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors.

On Wednesday, the enemy launched airstrikes and artillery bombardments targeting border areas in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Reports indicate five airstrikes involving 11 guided bombs.

In the Kharkiv sector, one ongoing combat near Vovchansk has been reported since the start of the day.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces have attempted 14 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Berestove, and Myasozharivka, with fighting still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked near Druzelubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Novosadove, Nevske, and Torske. Since the start of the day, 11 clashes have been recorded in this sector, with four still underway.

The enemy continues its attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Siversk sector but faces strong resistance from Ukrainian units. Near Ivano-Dar’ivka, the occupiers attempted to push back Ukrainian units.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces made one attempt to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions since the start of the day. The enemy also launched unguided rocket attacks on Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy used support from assault and bomber jets to attack Ukrainian positions eight times. A battle is currently ongoing near New York.

The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk sector, with fierce fighting reported near  Vozdvyzhenka, Zeleny Pol, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, Mykolaivka, and Myroliubivka. The enemy has launched 31 assaults on Ukrainian positions, with battles continuing in eight locations. Russian aviation also struck near Oleksandropil and Selydove, using guided bombs and unguided rockets.

The situation is also serious in the Kurakhove sector, where the enemy has launched 32 attacks on Ukrainian units since the start of the day. Russian forces attempted to advance near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka area, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy assaults towards Vodyane and Kostiantynivka.

In the Robotyne area, on the Orikhiv sector, the occupiers made one attempt to advance but were met with strong resistance.

In the Prydniprovske sector, five enemy attacks were repelled, with the enemy failing to make any gains.
