Russian troops have pushed “dangerously close” to the center of Vuhledar with street battles intensifying, according to Donetsk regional governor Vadym Filyaskhin.

The official revealed that there are still 107 civilians in the town although Ukrainian police earlier managed to evacuate all children.

As Russian troops are storming the town it is almost impossible to deliver humanitarian aid, drinking water, and medical supplies to the town.

The humanitarian situation is dire, said the governor, adding the nearby Toretsk is facing the same issues as about 1,500 residents remain in the town.
