Ample fuel reserves secured for winter, says Ukraine’s energy ministry

Ukraine’s energy ministry said on Friday that the country has stockpiled “sufficient fuel reserves” to ensure a “stable heating season” this autumn and winter.

Deputy minister Mykola Kolisnyk confirmed that the positive projections.  “These stocks allow us to manage the system using a mix of generation resources,” he said.

The energy ministry has also imported backup generators powered by diesel, gasoline, and natural gas, adding an extra layer of reliability to the system.

“We’ve secured enough reserves for all consumer groups, providing stability not only in supply but also in price,” Kolisnyk added. “This preparedness gives us confidence that we’ll sustain a stable heating season throughout the winter.
