Over 100 clashes as Russian troops ramp up assaults on Ukrainian positions – General Staff

As of 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Ukrainian forces have faced 114 clashes with Russian troops since the day began. Intense fighting continues, with Russian forces showing particular aggression on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts, said Ukraine’s General Staff in its frontline update.

Kharkiv Front:  Russian forces launched two ground assaults near Vovchansk, attempting to breach Ukrainian defensive lines. Russian forces also dropped eight aerial bombs on Vovchansk, Odnorobivka, and Kharkiv, intensifying pressure on Ukrainian positions.

Kupiansk Front: Russian troops made nine attempts to overrun Ukrainian positions in the areas around Kindrashivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Lozova, and Berestove. Ukrainian soldiers held their ground, repelling all attacks. Russian forces also fired eight guided missiles targeting the regions of Kivsharivka, Novoosynove, and Bohuslavka.

Lyman Front: Russian units launched nine assaults on Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Zarichne, Terny, Torske, and Hryhorivka. Ukrainian defenders thwarted eight of these attacks, while one clash remains ongoing.

Siversk Front: Near Bilohorivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack by Russian forces. Another battle in the area is still going on.

Kramatorsk Front: Russian troops have attacked  Ukrainian positions near Bondarne, but Ukrainian forces maintain control of the situation.

Toretsk Front: Russian forces used air support to step their offensive near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, where they launched four attacks. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all assaults.

Pokrovsk Front: Russian forces attempted 24 attacks in an effort to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from positions around Myroliubivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Kruty Yar, Selydove, Vyshneve, and Chumatske. Ukrainian forces fended off 19 of these attacks, while five clashes remain active.

Kurakhove Front: Fierce fighting continues near Illinka, Berestky, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Voznesenka, Maksymivka, Antonivka, and Katerynivka. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 18 of the 32 Russian attacks so far today.

Vremivka Front: Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions near Bohoyavlenka six times. Two combat engagements are ongoing.

Orikhiv Front: Russian forces struck Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka, deploying unguided missiles on Lobkove and Novoandriivka, and allegedly used an Iskander-M missile to target the town of Novomykhailivka.

Dnipro Sector: Russian troops attempted an assault to dislodge Ukrainian defenders but were ultimately unsuccessful.
