In an urgent statement on Wednesday, Ukraine’s power operator DTEK said it will cut off power to customers in several regions across the country after it was ordered by state power grid operator.
Emergency power outages will hit Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Odesa Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and Donetsk Oblast. The later reports indicate that outages have also been introduced in other regions, such as Zhytomyr Oblast, Sumy Oblast, and Poltava Oblast.
The news of the rolling blackouts came hours after Russia targeted several Ukranian cities with ballistic missiles.
