A man saves four children from burning house in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv residents were stunned by an brave act of a man who rescued four young children from a neighbor’s house fire, according to the Mykolaiv Regional State Emergency Service.

The fire broke out in the village of Mishkovo-Pohorilove. As emergency team arrived on the scene at  1 26 pm, they found out that four children were saved by Artem Moroshko who had noticed the fire as he was passing by.  The man many know hail as a local hero rushed into the heavily smoke-filled house and all four of the kids  including 2 three-year-olds.

Moroshko brought the children to a nearby neighbor’s home for safety while firefighters extinguished the blaze by 2:11 pm, containing the flames to an area of 50 square meters.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
