Ukraine’s General Staff confirms a drone strike on Russia’s oil depot in Briansk

Russian officials are putting fires in Briansk after Ukraine has successfully targeted an oil depot in the city on December 11. The attack was confirmed by Ukraine’s General Staff.

In its statement issued on Wednesday, it said the attack targeted a “key point” of the Druzhba pipeline that serves a as as a diesel fuel storage site, and plays a “critical role in supplying fuel to Russian military forces”.

The attack was carried out by Ukrainian Defense Forces using drones, with coordination between the Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Units and the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate.

“According to available information, the attack resulted in a direct hit on the oil depot, leading to a massive fire. The combat results are being verified,” stated the General Staff.

The revelation comes hours after reports of drone and missile attacks on the Russian cities of Bryansk and Taganrog earlier on Wednesday.
