Emergency power outage schedules have been imposed across Ukraine on Monday in various regions of Ukraine as the country sees a high power demand straining the power grids. The outages are unplanned, which means earlier regular rolling blackouts schedules do not apply, and the duration of supply  restrictions remains uncertain.

Energy providers have urged citizens to conserve electricity and expressed gratitude for their understanding.

The outages have already hit Kyiv, Kyiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Donetsk region. The power grids also failed to hold up in Sumy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions where local power operators cut power to customers after 2 pm.

Energy supply companies will provide updates regarding the cancellation of these emergency outages at a later time.
