Ukraine’s power grid operator, Ukrenergo, has announed it is bringinb back  electricity outage schedules across all regions starting Wednesday, December 26.

For Residential Consumers:

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM: 1.5 outage groups activated.
  • 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: One outage group activated.

For Industry and Businesses:

  • 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM: Full restrictions.

The restrictions are tougher now  due to damage sustained by energy facilities during the massive missile and drone attacks on December 25.

Energy workers are still restoring the damaged equipment to get the system back on track.  The duration and scale of outages may change throughout the day. It is worth noting that Ukrenergo introduced new power supply on December 16 with each of the six previous outage groups was split into 12 subgroups, allowing for more flexibility. For instance, energy providers can now cut power to only half a group instead of the entire group.

Local power operators have committed to reconnecting power within 30 minutes after an outage, ensuring a minimum of 56 hours with electricity per week, compared to 38 hours under previous schedules.

Energy officials urge all consumers to use electricity sparingly to support stabilization efforts.
