Petro Poroshenko’s lawyer Ilia Novikov said he would file a lawsuit against officials involved in the disruption of the former president’s trip to the USA and Poland.

‘This is arbitrariness. A lot of damage has been done. Even if there were not all these planned meetings, the very fact of such a scandal during the war, during the negotiation process, when a lot of attention is drawn to how democratic, in particular, parliamentary procedures operate in Ukraine, already causes a lot of damage.’ the lawyer noted.

According to Novikov, such approaches are similar to those used in Russia.

Earlier, the former president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated on Telegram that the border guards do not allow him to leave the country.

In a comment to Ukrainska Pravda, the Border Guards official said that Poroshenko was not allowed to leave the country, as his business trip, which was signed by the head of the Ukrainian parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk, was later canceled.
