Government approved a plan to implement the Cybersecurity Strategy

The government approved the plan of measures for the further implementation of the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine for 2023-2024.

The document defines tasks and measures aimed at achieving the goals of the Strategy, as well as sets indicators and deadlines for their implementation.

The main areas of work, according to the specified plan, will be:

  • regulatory and legal support of activities in the spheres of cyber security;
  • development of the technological component of the national cyber security system;
  • establishment of closer cooperation with international partners;
  • development of the organizational and technical model of cyber protection;
  • organization of the scientific research in the field of cyber security;
  • strengthening cyber protection of critical information infrastructure facilities;
  • establishment of the process of training personnel in the field of cyber security.

The state bodies involved in the implementation of the plan must submit information on the progress by June 15 and December 15, 2024, in order to inform the National Security Council and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

This development was another step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, aimed at protecting key elements of the air defense system from debris damage.
